About Us

The Child Care Alliance of Los Angeles (CCALA) is a partnership of ten Resource and Referral and Alternative Payment agencies in Los Angeles County. Together, our agencies deliver services to thousands of families and child care providers. Services include training and one-on-one coaching for child care providers to improve the work they do with children; assisting parents in finding and identifying quality child care; and providing information to parents and child care providers on topics such as child development and child care best practices. Through our member agencies, CCALA has the ability to reach providers, families and children at a grass-roots level in multiple languages and a strong understanding of their areas’ unique communities.   • Best practices and standardized methods in the child care voucher programs.
  • Advocacy on behalf of working parents and their children and early childhood educators, as well as for improvements to government systems and programs.
  • Collaboration and coordination of county-wide services to families and providers in the areas of improving child care quality and well-being of the child.
  • Valued leadership as champions for equity and inclusion, and impactful, high-quality programs and services.

Our Programs

The Child Care Alliance of Los Angeles offers several different programs across the county of Los Angeles and the state of California. Offered in partnership with our member agencies, funders, and others, these programs are aimed at helping families access child care and early educators access professional development, resources, and support to successfully maintain and improve their child care business.

California Early Care and Education Workforce RegistryCalifornia Early Care and Education Workforce Registry – an efficient, web-based system designed to verify and securely store and track the employment, training, and education accomplishments of early childhood care and education (ECE) teachers and providers across California.
Emergency Child Care Bridge ProgramEmergency Child Care Bridge Program – to increase the number of foster children successfully placed in home-based family care settings, increase capacity of child care programs to meet the needs of foster children in their care, and maximize funding to support the child care needs of eligible families.
Pathway to Professional DevelopmentPathway to Professional Development – an integrated, comprehensive professional development system including training pathways aligned with the 12 curriculum topic areas aligned with the California Competencies.
Quality Start LAQuality Start LA – provides opportunities for child care providers to focus on improving the quality of their child care sites.
